Statement of Intent
In this age of growing violence, individuals need to be prepared to deal with physical conflict. It is the aim of Petchyindee Muay Thai Boxing Camp International to promote Muay Thai, Muay Choa Chur, Lerdit & other Thai fighting arts to our students so they are prepared for whatever combat situation they may face whether on the street or in the ring.
We realize that not everyone who trains in Muay Thai wishes to fight, but in order to be able to fight, one needs to train hard and realistically. This means that as individuals we need to strive to push ourselves beyond what we perceive to be our physical and mental limits.
"Pain that does not kill us, makes us stronger".
Petchyindee Camp International is also about developing the whole individual as well as physically, but also mentally, to be open to new ideas and different ways of thinking. There are many ways to do everything, just because it is different doesn't mean its wrong or worthless. It is important for us to appreciate all martial arts and martial artists, but it should be noted that Muay Thai when used correctly is possibly the single most devastating martial art on the planet.
"We adapt we overcome"
Muay Thai to us is a living art. As different techniques and different fight strategies change so the art adapts to meet them. The core fundamentals of the art are more than able to deal with the latest young impostor and other contact arts cannot compete on an even playing field against Muay Thai. Muay Thai is the only real no holds barred fighting system, whether fighting at long, medium or close range, whether on the street on in the ring.
